Stag Hunter

Blended scotch Stag Hunter (Stag Hunter) is produced by the British independent company Burlington Drinks. Whiskey is considered craft, as it is produced in small batches according to a recipe developed by the company’s specialists. The blend contains at least 20% malt spirits, which gives the drink the taste of classic Scotch whiskey.

Historical information

Burlington Drinks was founded in 1988 and is part of the Hayman holding, one of the oldest gin producers in the UK. The firm began operations in 1863, when former pharmacist James Burrow purchased a business to produce gin from his own recipes. Developed by winemaker Beefeater London Dry Gin is now one of the top three best-selling brands in the world.

The descendants of James Burrow ran the business until 1987, but then most of them were in favor of selling the company. The great-grandson of the founder, Christopher Hyman, created his own company called Hayman Limited and began to produce gin under his own brand. The company currently owns a large portfolio of alcoholic beverage brands that are in demand on the international market.

Burlington Drinks is one of the subdivisions of the Hayman Limited holding responsible for the production and sale of alcoholic beverages. The company produces alcohol under its own and private brands according to recipes developed by the company’s specialists. With a wealth of experience and relationships with suppliers across the UK, Burlington Drinks creates outstanding products that have won medals in international competitions.

Stag Hunter Whiskey is a blend of malt and grain spirits from Highland, Lowland and Speyside distilleries, aged in oak barrels for at least three years. The production site of Burlington Drinks is located in Essex, 60 km from London. Despite the fact that the plant is automated, some of the critical operations are performed manually.
