The poetic name of the salad “Labbra del sirena” (“Kiss of the mermaid”) speaks for itself. This is a light and tasty dish of squid and red caviar. The salad looks festively beautiful, so it can be a decoration for any feast.

To prepare the labbra del sirena salad, you need to take the following ingredients:

– 1 kilogram of squid; – 4 hard-boiled eggs; – 100-150 grams of red caviar; – mayonnaise; – ground black pepper; – bay leaf; – peppercorns; – salt.

Defrost seafood. To do this, place the squid in a deep bowl of cold, salted water. You can also defrost them in the air.

When the squids are thawed, peel the carcasses from the skin and films outside and inside, cut into fillets and cut each crosswise.

Then lightly beat off the squid on both sides. This is done so that during heat treatment the squid fillet does not shrink and become tough.

In no case should the time for heat treatment of squid be exceeded. When boiled or roasted for a long time, they become tough and quickly lose their nutritional and taste properties.

Pour water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil, add bay leaves, salt and peppercorns. Dip one carcass in boiling water, count to 10 and catch with a slotted spoon.

When the water boils again, dip the next carcass into the pan, catch it after 10 seconds. Repeat the process until all the squid are cooked.

Cool the boiled squid and cut the carcasses into thin noodles. Boil the eggs, chill in cold water, peel, carefully separate the white from the yolk and cut the white into strips.

Transfer the squid, thinly chopped eggs and red caviar into a deep salad bowl. Mix all ingredients, season with pepper, salt and mayonnaise. Stir well again and serve.

The salad can be decorated with green lettuce leaves. To do this, cover the bottom of the dish with lettuce leaves, and put the prepared labbra del sirena on top.

The recipe for this salad is named after Labbra del sirena, because this version of the dish is made with canned squid and takes less time to prepare.

To prepare “The Kiss of the Mermaid” you will need:

– 200 grams of crab sticks; – 1 can of canned squid; – 150 grams of zucchini or zucchini; – 1 bunch of green onions; – 2 sweet and sour apples like Antonovka; – 4 hard-boiled eggs; – 80 grams of red caviar; – 1 small a bunch of dill; – 6-7 tablespoons of mayonnaise; – 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard; – 1 teaspoon of soy sauce; – 1 teaspoon of lemon juice; – ground black pepper; – salt.

Make a salad dressing. To do this, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, soy sauce and lemon juice.

Wash zucchini or zucchini, peel and cut into thin strips, cut apples, peeled and seeds, into slices.

Cut crab sticks, canned seafood and hard-boiled egg whites into noodles.

Mix prepared ingredients, pepper and salt. Wash green onions and dill, dry and chop finely. Add to salad and mix well.
