Spring antistress: three effective methods

What good habits will allow the body to shed the winter “ballast” and welcome spring renewed? Ayurveda and Kalmyk yoga to help us.

1. Short exercises

“A set of exercises with the funny name “Kalmyk Yoga” helps me to cheer up in the morning and calm down before going to bed,” says psychologist Maria Conte. – However, these exercises have nothing to do with the usual yoga. Kalmyk yoga is called hypoxic training, which combines squats and breath holding.

The main principle of this exercise is to increase the blood supply to the brain, which decreases with age. The exercise is incredibly simple – hold your breath and begin to squat, leaning forward. When squatting, make sure that the pelvis is as far back as possible, and that the knees do not go beyond the line of the toes. Squat until you run out of breath. Then straighten up, catch your breath and repeat the exercise five more times. After such a workout on a normal breath, you will receive much more oxygen than before it.

Daily practice of Kalmyk yoga before meals will strengthen the cardiovascular system, as well as the muscles of the legs and abs. Training normalizes blood sugar levels, lymph begins to move more actively through the body, which starts the process of detoxifying the body. “Even my elderly parents do these exercises,” says Maria Conte. “But it is important to consider that training is not suitable for those who have problems with blood vessels, pressure and heart.”

2. Green diet

Fruits and green vegetables are rich in alkali, which creates an unfavorable environment in the body for the development of bacteria and cancer cells. “Try spinach, lime, parsley, cucumber, avocado, apple, and wheatgrass green smoothies,” Maria Conte recommends. “Add a tablespoon of chia seeds to your smoothies — they are rich in omega-3, 6, and 9. Drink before breakfast.”

Do not forget about spirulina – this emerald-colored algae-bacterium is incredibly rich in protein – its concentration in dry algae is about 60%. Superfood also contains gamma-linolenic acid, which regulates satiety and helps brain function. Well, the main composition of spirulina: potassium, calcium, copper, chromium, selenium, zinc and iodine. Spirulina Powder Supplement normalizes digestion, strengthens the immune system and supports metabolism, helping to lose weight.

3. Healthy sleep

One of the most frequent complaints of a modern resident of a metropolis is insomnia: we cannot fall asleep, because the brain seems to refuse to be “silent”. We lie in the dark for hours, making a to-do list for tomorrow or thinking about solving an important problem. “Awareness will help in such a situation,” says Maria Conte. Lie on your back, close your eyes and breathe slowly. And then imagine that all your body parts in turn are filled with oxygen. Move from the bottom up: first, let the feet “breathe”, then the shins, then take a leisurely “inhale-exhale” through the hips. And so to the very top. This exercise is relaxing and you will fall asleep in a few minutes.”

If you find it difficult to fall asleep, try the Ayurvedic golden milk recipe. 40 minutes before bed, take a glass of warm milk (for lactose intolerance, choose almond milk), add a spoonful of turmeric paste, honey and a little almond oil. Stir and drink in small sips. This spicy drink relieves stress and lulls.
