Spring allergies: think about homeopathy

Granules for every reaction

  • sneezing, runny nose, swollen eyes… immediately give him 3 granules of Galphimia glauca 5 CH, 6 to 10 times a day. An essential remedy to which you will have to add more specific treatments.
  • His eyelids are swollen, he has conjunctivitis: Apis mellifica 9 CH.
  • He has a dry, irritating cough: Ipeca 9 CH.
  • The inside of his nose, the wings of his nose and / or the skin of his cheeks itch: Natrum sulfuricum 9 CH.
  • He has an asthma attack: Ipeca 9 CH and Arsenicum album 9 CH alternately.
  • His nose is runny, the discharge irritates his upper lip: Allium cepa 5 CH.
  • Cut grass systematically triggers sneezing and discharge: Dulcamara 5 CH. – He keeps sneezing: Nux vomica 9 CH.
  • He gets hives after sunbathing or touching grass: Apis mellifica 9 CH. Note: whatever the remedy used and the age of the child, the dosage is always – except for specific indications – 3 granules 3 times a day.

One month before the allergy: a preventive homeopathic treatment

In case of strong allergies, the doctor will put a preventive treatment in place in the fall. But most of the time, you have to think about it a month before symptoms appear. Difficult, you might say, since we do not necessarily know which pollens or which grass the child is sensitive to. The tests are indeed not very meaningful before the age of 6 years. Only one solution: treat at the time of the crisis and identify when in the pollination calendar it occurs. So, the following year, you will be able to take the lead.

Monitor the pollination schedule

It is important to be able to know at what time of the year such and such pollen is particularly present in the air. So you can put a preventive treatment in place. And above all, you know that it is better to avoid going for a walk near fields of wild grass on such a weekend …

  • From late January to mid-March: pollens from cypress and thuja, especially in the South.
  • In March and April: birch, hornbeam and hazelnut pollens, especially in the North and East. – In April: plane tree pollens.
  • From January to June: pollens of ash and olive trees. – In May and June: pollens of oaks.
  • From May to July: pollens of plantain grasses and nettles.
  • From the end of August to the end of November: ragweed pollens, especially in the Lyon region.
