Spring 2018 trends: fashionable makeup

When you are tired of classic makeup and you want to experiment, even small ones.

Makeup trends are changing at the speed of light. Even last season, everyone went with purple eyeshadows and painted their lips with gloss. What kind of arrows are in fashion this spring, how to achieve the effect of radiant skin (and yes, forget about contouring and strobing), said Gani Karaeva, makeup artist BROW UP! & Make Up !.

Black arrows and their variations are currently experiencing a peak in popularity. Classic black, eyeliner along the inner edge, arrows of incredible geometry – all this is now very relevant. And if you are not too strong in geometry and even arrows are not your strong point, do not worry! Just draw the tips of the arrows or dots along the lower eyelid. In a word, arrows can be of different thickness and length – depending on your external data and preferences. However, remember that the thicker the arrow, the more voluminous and noticeable the eyelashes should be, otherwise the stylish graphics on the eyelids will look too pretentious.

Healthy skin, as if a little wet, is a new trend this spring. The glossy shine of the glass is achieved not by the usual shimmers and highlighters, but by a moisturizer, which is abundantly applied before the foundation. Thus, skincare becomes part of the makeup. Apply a generous amount of moisturizer, serum or oil at the start of your makeup and afterwards on the prominent parts of your face instead of the highlighter.

Although lipstick in rich wine and berry shades is not surprising, this season makeup artists strongly recommend going further. Green, blue, aqua, yellow – the proposed lip palette leaves room for the most daring experiments! Rihanna’s beauty brand Fenty Beauty has released as many as 14 color shades of Mattemoiselle lipsticks – there is where to roam. But before you go all bad, remember the main rule: bright lipstick on the face requires well-groomed eyebrows and an even tone, which means that there are no visible imperfections on the face.

When we hear about blue shadows, the image of a saleswoman in a Soviet grocery store immediately pops up. However, cobalt blue is more relevant this spring. To compare favorably with the workers of the Soviet trade, use matte shadows in any shade of blue. Apply them simply with your finger or with wide brush strokes. The richer the pigment, the better!

The trend itself is not new, but it got its official name at the recent London Fashion Week. Bright lips with a deliberately casual contour create a sensual kiss-like effect. What else do you need in spring? This technique looks most advantageous in wine and berry shades. The technique is simple: apply the lipstick, a little short of the natural contour of the lips, then blend the contour with a cotton swab. For a glossy effect, you can apply a transparent lip gloss on top.
