Stiletto is a new sport that will appeal to glamorous girls who cannot see their life without sharp stilettos and high heels. Did you know that even simple walking in heels trains the body no worse than exercise machines.
This unusual and incredible sexy type of fitness was invented by Italian trainers – even those connoisseurs of female beauty! Stiletto in Italian means a sharp knife. The same dangerous weapon as thin hairpins, which give grace and slenderness to female legs.
Stiletto is ideal for those girls who feel insecure in heels. After such exercises and physical exertion, you will flutter like a butterfly, even in the highest heels.
At its core, stiletto is aerobics, which aims to say goodbye to extra pounds, to work out muscles qualitatively and strengthen posture. But do not forget that each sport has its own contraindications. For example, if you suffer from varicose veins, have spinal injuries, vascular and joint diseases, as well as just a weak vestibular apparatus (in this case, you can simply crash from the height of your body!), Then it is better for you to pay attention to other types of fitness. By the way, no one forces you to put on 15-centimeter stiletto heels and run to workout. Maximum 7 centimeters to avoid any kind of injury. And they can be, because the exercises, although simple, are extremely energy-consuming. Try doing your usual lunges, squats, or push-ups in heels! Then you will feel all your muscles!
Our fitness expert Olga Levina shared her opinion on whether it is worth doing such an unusual sport and whether it is true that walking in heels is useful.
– Perhaps this unusual sport will help you learn to keep your posture and balance, walk beautifully and move smoothly and gracefully. But I still like the usual loads, be it exercise equipment, gym, cardio training, tennis, yoga, Pilates. But I agree that even simple walking in heels makes muscles work. First, you make sure not to slouch: even the most ideal slim, but hunched figure on stiletto heels looks grotesque and asexual. Second, you train your calf and gluteus muscles. And the abdominal muscles do not rest – they are statically tense, while you try to keep your back straight. By the way, this is one of the rules of the steel press: if you want a perfect belly, then don’t slouch and strain your abs. And be sure to talk to your sports doctor before choosing your type of fitness.
