This paradoxical conclusion was made by scientists from the University of Portsmouth, led by Dr. Joanna Scurr. The studies made it possible for scientists to argue that sports injure the chest – fitness, running, and regular exercise are equally harmful.
So, while playing sports, the vast majority of British women surveyed experience chest pain. At the same time, the size of the bust does not matter – among the respondents there were both ladies with curvaceous forms and girls with small breasts. But the point is this: when a woman is actively moving, her breasts make sharp fluctuations up and down with an incredible amplitude of 21 centimeters. Conventional sconces are capable of leveling only vertical movements, however, this does not help either. Curiously, when jogging slowly, the chest suffers in the same way as when running a sprint.
Modern details of the ladies’ toilet reduce the risk of pain by only a fraction of 54%. Much more effective are special sports bras that protect the breasts by 80%. However, the researchers argue that not everything is so scary and to prevent troubles it is enough just to follow simple rules.
First, choose models exclusively from natural fabrics that do not cause allergic reactions and skin microtraumas. Secondly, do not overuse wearing bras with molded cups and custom straps. Such products should be worn only on special occasions – under an evening dress for the sake of going to a restaurant or, ultimately, to your own wedding. But if you daily expose your chest to squeezing and deformation, then it will not lead to good.
Third, sometimes it is necessary to act according to the circumstances. For example, for a run, women with a small bust size are better off wearing a tight-fitting seamless top, while curvaceous forms still oblige to put on a bra, and choose the one that has the strongest supportive effect.
