Speech of a successful person

A successful person is a person who knows what he wants. Therefore, before you start speaking, you, a respected successful person, should know what should be the result of your speech. There is a very good simple hint, namely, answer yourself the question: after you say something, what should remain in the head of your interlocutor, what wording, what intention, what thoughts, what feelings?

In this case, it is easy to evaluate yourself. You can speak either for a minute, or for three minutes, but your speech will be assessed as effective if and when such and such a thought, such and such a formulation and such and such phrases remain in the head of your wonderful interlocutor. This is a very rare skill, few people think about what should remain in their heads.

The test is simple — ask: «What did you take away from the conversation?» It is not convenient for every interlocutor to ask this question, but in the communication of managers with an employee, parents with children, this is completely normal. What did you hear that you took away from the conversation? And if a person answers, tells you those words, those formulations, and even with the right expression on his face (for example, not with an unhappy, not with a suffering one: “You need to write a plan for the day”, but with an interested and cheerful one), then your speech was competent and efficient.
