Making a soil for a flower yourself is not difficult. The main thing is to observe all proportions.
To prepare ideal soil, take the following components in equal proportions (1: 1: 1: 1: 1):
- humus;
- leafy land;
- charcoal;
- peat;
- sand (necessarily coarse).
You can also use other proportions:
- leafy soil and peat – 1 part each;
- sod soil and coarse sand – 0,5 parts each.
If you can’t add coarse sand, don’t be discouraged. It can be easily replaced with ordinary crumbs of broken bricks.
Please note that after you plant the plant in a pot, the soil must be treated with a light solution of potassium permanganate. And in order for the flower to take root and take root, it must be placed in a warm place. Excessive watering during such a period will only harm “women’s happiness.” Therefore, to moisturize the leaves and soil, it is best to simply spray it.
It is advisable to renew the soil and replant the plant no more than once every two to three years. A young plant that is not yet three years old needs to be replanted every year. It is not difficult to understand at what moment a flower requires a “new house”. Just look at its root system, which by this time should fill the entire pot.
In this simple way, you can independently prepare the ideal soil for the normal development of spathiphyllum in indoor home conditions. And the plant will, in turn, delight you with frequent flowering.
