As the logo of the Varnitsa company, the designers chose a cheerful sun, which generously gives warmth to the golden hop leaves. Despite the fact that the company was founded only in 2013, today its products can be found far beyond the Smolensk region: from Belarus to the Crimea.

Historical reference. The village of Kardymovo in the Smolensk Lakeland is distinguished by its clean ecology and soft spring water – exactly what you need for a good brewery. The first stage of the Varnitsa plant was put into operation in June 2013. The enterprise was equipped with the most modern German, Swiss and Austrian equipment. There are two artesian wells with a depth of 100 m on the territory of the plant. Water is purified using mechanical, nano-filters and reverse osmosis filters, and is also irradiated with ultraviolet light.

The position of the chief brewer of Varnitsa was taken by Alexei Fokin, who studied at the Munich Beer Institute and then worked for a long time at a large brewery in Denmark. He is a principled opponent of adding maltose syrup, malt concentrates and unmalted raw materials to beer. Beer at the factory ferments naturally for at least 21 days. Varnitsa buys light malt produced by the American company Cargill and roasted malt from Lithuania and Germany.

The drink is packaged in 30-liter PET kegs of our own production. In the first few years of its existence, the company focused on the production of high-quality, but inexpensive draft beer. Demand for it has grown rapidly: if in 2013 the plant produced 2,5 million liters of beer per month, in 2014 the production volume doubled.

The specialists of the enterprise constantly visit foreign breweries, from where they bring invaluable experience. This is how the craft beer collection was born.

Another successful project was the 7 Brewers collection, for which the Belarusian design agency Fabula Branding developed unusual labels. The collection consists of 7 types of beer brewed according to traditional recipes from different countries. When creating these drinks, Varnitsa technologists consulted with colleagues from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, England and Ireland.
