The era of the Soviet Union has long since sunk into oblivion. It’s the 1st century, and modern housewives use gadgets in everyday life that are almost more complicated than the Vostok-XNUMX spacecraft, on which Gagarin conquered space. But not all. Until now, in any apartment you can find this or that little thing from the times of the USSR, which has served faithfully to its owners for more than a dozen years.
Silverware, salt shakers and containers for bulk products, porcelain figurines and cups, Christmas tree decorations and sewing machines. It seems that these items will never be demolished. My friend still prefers the Made in USSR electric iron. Fancy modern irons break every other time, and this one, released in 1983, is as good as new. Coffee made in a Soviet manual coffee grinder seems to be tastier, and can openers with a bottle opener are still produced today. If you dig around, you can even find a washing board in Granny’s bathroom. “Here’s another, start the machine every time when you need to wash the shirt”, – the grandmother is outraged by the uneconomical approach of modern housewives to everyday life.
Not to mention meat grinders – they just fit to be inherited. These kitchen masterpieces serve regularly for 40 years, or even more, except that knives need to be sometimes worn to sharpen them. And they don’t take up much less space than modern sophisticated electric meat grinders.
Wday.ru went to inspect the apartments of friends and acquaintances in search of things from the times of the USSR and this is what it found – flip through the photos of rarities along the arrow to the right.
