The action of the picture takes place in 1919. The interventionist troops and the White Guards besiege Petrograd. The infantrymen defending the city from the land need help. For them, an expeditionary naval detachment from Kronstadt is organized, which enters the fight against the enemy. Some of the sailors are captured and die. The only one who manages to survive is Artyom Balashov. He is assigned the task of leading a new expedition of sailors. The support of the Marine Corps played a crucial role in the victory of the soldiers on land.

Historical drama “Admiral Nakhimov” (1946) will tell about real events that took place at the time of the Crimean War. In the center of the plot is the legendary naval commander Pyotr Nakhimov. Thanks to the professionalism of the commander, the Soviet sailors defeat the Turkish fleet and win. In 1854, the naval commander led the defense of Sevastopol and was seriously wounded. The talented admiral dies. Director Vsevolod Pudovkin managed to reveal the strong-willed character and the best inner qualities of Nakhimov to the smallest detail.

Biographical dramaAdmiral Ushakov” (1953) is one of the best pictures about sailors. The events of the film take place during the reign of Empress Catherine the Great. Fedor Ushakov – captain of the imperial yacht. Having abandoned his court career, he asks the ruler for permission to go to the Black Sea Fleet under construction. Ushakov, along with a small detachment of sailors, stays at the shipyards. The construction of the fleet is accompanied by the simultaneous training of the marine crew. Potemkin arrives at the launching ceremony. He favors Ushakov, in whom he saw the huge potential of the naval commander. At the time of the first training voyage, Ushakov is working out ingenious tactics, the principles of which will bring the ship many naval victories.

The historical drama was awarded at the Kansk Film Festival for the award “For the best embodiment of a revolutionary epic”. The events take place in 1918 during the Civil War on one of the Soviet ships. The ship is led by an anarchist Leader, who does not submit to the power of the Bolsheviks. The Central Committee of the party sends a woman commissar to the ship, who must reorganize the anarchists into the First Sailor Regiment. Sailors perceive the arrival negatively and threaten her with violence. But a strong woman with a tempered spirit turned out to be not one of the shy ones. She does not intend to retreat and is going to convince the anarchist sailors to accept the Bolsheviks and follow them.

The film, based on the stories of Leonid Sobolev, will tell about the brave and fearless foot soldiers who love their country, city and are ready to defend the fatherland to the last. Soviet military filmI follow my course” (1974) will tell about the events of 1942. German troops are heading for Sevastopol. Domestic sea vessels repeatedly broke through to the city to deliver ammunition and provisions. Two Soviet destroyers “Swift” and “Daring” receive another such task. The path followed by the destroyers is well known to sailors. But the Nazis repeatedly mined the fairway. During the operation, “Daring” dies, and “Swift” breaks into Sevastopol. But the main test awaits the crew ahead as the ship returns, overflowing with wounded soldiers.
