Sour cream and garlic sauce. Video
Pork dishes are always welcome both at the family and at the festive table. A special sour cream-garlic sauce will help you to make your lunch or dinner of juicy meat more delicious and sophisticated, which can be prepared in three different ways.
Sour cream and garlic sauce
For a gentle sour cream-garlic sauce you will need:
– 3-4 cloves of garlic; – 2 tbsp. l. sour cream; – 1 cucumber; – pepper; – salt.
Ingredients for Hot Garlic Sour Cream Sauce:
– 5-7 cloves of garlic; – 4 tbsp. l. sour cream; – 4 tbsp. l. mayonnaise; – red and black pepper; – seasonings to taste (coriander, curry); – dried herbs (parsley, cilantro or dill).
For the sauce on eggs and kefir:
– a glass of kefir or liquid sour cream; – 3-4 cloves of garlic; – 2 eggs; – sunflower oil; – 2 tbsp. l. salt; red and black peppers.
Delicate sour cream-garlic sauce
Rub the cucumber on a medium to fine grater. Mix it with sour cream. Add pepper, salt and grated garlic to taste. Whisk lightly with a fork or whisk. You should not use a blender, as this will turn the cucumber into “porridge”, but the sauce needs to contain small pieces of cucumber.
All three sauce recipes are suitable not only for pork, but also for other meat dishes from Russian and Eastern cuisine, especially for shawarma, chicken wings, grilled chicken and kebabs.
Spicy sour cream and garlic sauce
Rub the garlic finely or squeeze it through the garlic press. Add sour cream and mayonnaise to the grated garlic. Add herbs and spices to taste, mix thoroughly. Insist the sauce before use for at least 30 minutes, then serve with the meat.
An unusual white sauce with a more sophisticated taste can be obtained by using liquid sour cream or low-fat kefir. Place the salt, garlic, pepper in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour sunflower oil into the mixture in a thin stream. Add kefir or sour cream. Watch out for the consistency, the sauce should not be too thick, but not too liquid.
Try adding half a cup of low-fat kefir to the sour cream-garlic sauce. This will make you a traditional Arabic drink that goes well with all savory dishes, especially pork.
Additional spices and other ingredients can be added to any of the resulting sauces, as long as they do not disturb the flavor combination. Never use ketchup or mustard instead of mayonnaise for the sauce, otherwise the taste of the whole dish may spoil. The recipe for the special pork sauce is thought out in such a way that it adds a certain flavor to the meat dish without additional additives and seasonings.
