Sort by color in Excel

Excel 2007 and later versions allow you to sort data by color.

To sort data by color, follow our instructions:

1. Click on any cell in the dataset.
2. Нажмите кнопку Sorting (Sort) tab Data (Data).A dialog box will appear Sorting (Sort).
3. Next, fill in the parameters for the first sort level:
   • In the dropdown list under the heading Column (Column) select a column Last Name (or any other).
   • Listed under the heading Sorting (Sort On) select an item cell color (Cell Color).
   • Listed under the heading Order (Order) select a color for the first sort level. For example, green.

Note: You can also sort data by font color and cell icon.

4. Double click the button Copy Level (Copy Level) and assign colors to the rest of the sort levels.
5. Press OK.
