Head lice is a parasitic disease that spreads in large numbers of people. It often affects schoolchildren. Sora Forte is a shampoo that not only eliminates lice, but also acts prophylactically in the case of people exposed to infection.
Sora Forte – how does it work?
Sora Forte is a medicinal product intended for use in the case of head lice. It has an anti-parasitic effect, therefore it is recommended for the elimination of lice, as well as for prophylaxis in people who are in direct contact with infected people. Sora Forte is a medicinal product that can be used by both adults and children from 3 years of age.
Sora Forte – composition
The active substance of Sora Forte is permethrin (1 ml of shampoo contains 10 mg of it). The auxiliary substances include:
- sodium lauryl ethoxylate sulfate,
- diethanolamide and monoethanolamide of coconut oil fatty acids,
- propyl parahydroxybenzoate,
- sodium citrate,
- methyl parahydroxybenzoate,
- isopropyl alcohol.

- hydrogenated castor oil,
- ethylene glycol di stearate,
- diazolidynomocznik,
- 2 and 10 ethoxylated lauryl alcohol,
- citric acid monohydrate,
- propylene glycol,
- fragrance composition,
- Purified Water.
Sora Forte – dosage
The use of Sora Forte should be as determined by the doctor or as specified in the package leaflet. The drug is intended for external use.
- Shake the shampoo bottle several times before use.
- Apply the shampoo evenly to wet hair, with particular emphasis on the back of the head and behind the ears.
- Massage your hair until a copious lather forms.
- The shampoo should be left on the hair for about 10 minutes – more effective use of Sora Forte shampoo will be ensured by applying a disposable cap on the head.
- After the required time has elapsed, rinse your hair with water.
- Brush the hair thoroughly with the comb included in the package – this will remove the dead lice and their eggs.
How often should I use Sora Forte? The treatment usually requires washing twice. They should be repeated after 10 days. Sora Forte kills nits (lice eggs) that may hatch after the first wash. If the head lice returns earlier, the secondary washing must also be repeated earlier.
Sora Forte cannot be used on eyebrows, eyelashes and in the case of pubic lice. The shampoo may irritate the eyes and mucous membranes, so be careful when using it. When using Sora Forte frequently, it is advisable to use protective gloves.
Sora Forte – contraindications
Sora Forte should not be used in the case of:
- hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation,
- children under the age of 3,
- pregnancy, suspected pregnancy or during breastfeeding,
- taking other drugs that work against head lice,
- use of any other type of medication, even over-the-counter medications.
Sora Forte – side effects
Like all medicines, Sora Forte may cause certain side effects. Belong to them:
- short-term skin reactions, including itching and burning, and irritation from propylene glycol
- allergic reactions caused by parahydroxybenzoate derivatives,
- erythema, rash,
- skin hypersensitivity,
- feeling paralyzed in people who frequently use Sora Forte.

Sora Forte is a medicinal preparation available in pharmacies. You should pay about PLN 50 for a 16 ml bottle. Sora Forte spray is also available.
