Everyday life often does not spare us stressful situations and worries. When a lot of work falls on us, a child has problems at school, we stand in a huge traffic jam, we have to say stop at some point. Don’t get stressed! Long-term, persistent stress can cause various diseases and lower immunity, and even deteriorate sexual performance. That is why it is worth learning a few simple tricks that will quickly relieve tension and facilitate everyday functioning!

  1. Move – especially outdoors. It is no secret that physical activity increases the secretion of happy hormones, i.e. endorphins. They are released more when you exercise in nature. A park, your own backyard, a forest, as well as a simple walk will be good. Just being in the bosom of nature has an anti-stress effect – that is why very tired people are recommended to go to the mountains, to the sea or to the lake. This allows you to commune with nature, which is our natural environment. Enjoy the fresh air both in winter (winter walks improve immunity and mood) and in summer, spring days, when we are dealing with a mild sun. The body then produces vitamin D, which strengthens the muscles and improves mood. From the exercises, choose the most relaxing ones, such as yoga, which will be perfect for reducing muscle tension, learning proper breathing, and is also a great way to reduce stress.
  2. Worry buster exercise – it consists in writing down a situation that stresses you on a piece of paper and adding a worst-case scenario to it. Visualizing such an event will allow you to imagine your reactions, to think about what you will actually feel at that moment. Imagine that it has happened, and then focus on accepting the situation. Once you’ve come to terms with it, take action to avoid this outcome. Do this exercise as often as you can until you learn to accept and deal with bad situations.
  3. Find out what actually stresses you out Stressors are all factors that make you emotionally tense. We meet them everywhere, almost at every step, it is difficult to eliminate them. However, you can change the way you perceive them. Remember that you are responsible for your reactions, which also shape your well-being. Self-control is the key to peace. For example – standing in a traffic jam, you can get nervous, honk, swear. However, consider that the cork itself will have no effect. Your stress level will start to increase unnecessarily when you start giving vent to your emotions.
  4. Keep a fun journal – keep a journal in which you start writing down every pleasant thing that happens to you. It can be, for example, a positive situation, an achievement, or even small things. It doesn’t matter if they are extensive or short notes – choose the form that suits you best. Read your journal every time you feel frustrated or have a bad day. This may seem a bit trivial, but it is very effective.
  5. plan One of the most stressful things in life is the passing of time. When you have a lot of responsibilities, it’s best to learn time management skills. However, do not create rigid daily plans that are difficult to implement. Always try to manage your time flexibly – when something unexpected happens, you won’t get nervous. Focus only on a few of the most important points that you are sure you can accomplish. If you take on too much, you will quickly become discouraged.
