The second name of this fish (salt) comes from the Latin sole – sole. Indeed, the shape of the fillet of this fish resembles a sole. According to its qualities, salt is considered one of the most delicious fish, to the advantages of which is added the almost complete absence of bones.

However, you should be aware that very often unscrupulous sellers replace the more expensive salt with pangasius, which looks like it externally, especially when it is presented in the form of fillets. You will be able to identify pangasius only during the cooking process, when its volume is halved – this is the peculiarity of this fish.

In order not to be mistaken, you can buy the sole uncut or in the form of fillets, but only from trusted sellers. If such a purchase has taken place, you can prepare a delicious dish in a minimum of time.

Sole fillet fried in batter

If you fry the salt fillet in batter, you will be able to preserve its delicate aroma and taste by preparing a simple and satisfying dish. To do this, you will need: – 500 g of thawed sole fillet; – 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce; – 1 tbsp. l. olive oil; – white and pink ground pepper; – ground coriander; – ½ glass of very cold milk; – 1 chicken egg; – 100 g bread crumbs; – ½ cup vegetable oil.
