Experts ask not to trust the unverified information about the coronavirus COVID-19, which is spread in social networks and instant messengers.
On March 2, the first case of coronavirus was officially recorded in Moscow. David Berov, an employee of the Russian Football Union, was hospitalized.
The man flew in from Italy, where the coronavirus is raging, on February 23. Four days later, he went to the polyclinic with symptoms of acute respiratory viral infections, from where he was admitted to the infectious diseases hospital №1. Surprisingly, the man was placed in a common ward, not isolated from other patients.
He is now in quarantine. At the same time, Otar Beroev, who fell ill, notes that David feels “absolutely normal”, but also mentioned that in total eight of his relatives, including David, were hospitalized.
“We all had tests taken, someone had one test, someone already had two, like, for example, mine. All but David have them negative, ”the man told the RBC edition.
Meanwhile, excitement about a possible epidemic in Russia is growing. Unverified information has appeared in social networks and messengers that Muscovites are massively infected with COVID-19.

An unknown woman in an audio message warns that it is necessary to stock up on food, because soon there will simply be no more in stores.
The Group-IB company, which specializes in the development of products for cybersecurity, notes that such stuffing is done solely to “increase panic” in the capital.
Experts ask to be critical of information from unverified sources.
