Snow blower for Ugra NMB-1 walk-behind tractor

The agricultural machinery market offers the consumer a large selection of snow blowers. Often a person enters a stupor, trying to find the right model for his walk-behind tractor. All rotary nozzles have the same device and principle of operation. The difference lies only in some technical characteristics. Now we will consider snow blowers for the Ugra NMB 1 walk-behind tractor, and we will deal with the principle of their operation.

The principle of operation of rotary snow blowers

The principle of operation of the rotary-type snowplow is the same and does not depend on the model. The snow blower consists of a steel body, inside which the rotor rotates. It is driven by a chain drive, which, in turn, rotates thanks to a belt drive connected to the walk-behind tractor motor. The auger rakes the collected snow mass and directs it from the sides of the body to the center, where there are metal blades. They push the snow through the outlet – the nozzle.

Important! The faster the walk-behind tractor goes, the stronger the blades push the snow. This increases the throw distance.

A sleeve with a visor is attached to the top of the body to the nozzle. It carries snow off. By turning the visor, the direction of departure is regulated.

Snow blower SUN

The principle of operation of this model of a snow blower for the Ugra walk-behind tractor is based on the same rotary mechanism. The SUN nozzle easily copes with the packed snow mass, of course, if the layer is not iced over. The use of a snow blower is justified on sidewalks, private areas adjacent to the house and in other places with a small area. The drive of the SUN snow blower from the Ugra NMB-1 walk-behind tractor is carried out through a belt drive. Torque is transmitted to the auger by a gear reducer.

Important! When performing snow removal work with the SUN nozzle, the Ugra walk-behind tractor must move at a speed of no more than 3,5 km / h.

Let’s look at the main characteristics of the SUN nozzle:

  • The direction of snow ejection is regulated by a swivel visor. It is conveniently located near the steering wheel. The operator has the ability to make a direction correction without stopping the walk-behind tractor.
  • The auger is made of solid steel strip. This design is characterized by increased strength, as well as more efficient operation.
  • Skis on the lower part of the body provide easy movement of the nozzle on the snow cover. The adjustment mechanism allows you to set the height of the removal of the layer of snow.
  • A feature of the SUN snow blower is the ability to change the auger speed. To do this, there is a function that allows you to change the standard chain drive ratio of 1,55 to an accelerated ratio of 0,64. Changing the speed of the auger is beneficial when clearing a thin layer of snow.
  • The dimensions of the nozzle allow for a capture width of 60 cm. The maximum height of the snow layer is 30 cm.
  • Snow is ejected from the sleeve to a maximum distance of 8 m. This indicator is affected by the speed of rotation of the auger and the movement of the walk-behind tractor.

SUN is designed so that during operation the noise level from the vibration of parts is minimal. The snow blower weighs 47 kg.

Mobile-K SM-0,6

The domestic model of the SM-0,6 snow blower is produced in the Smolensk region by the manufacturer Mobil-K. The nozzle is designed for use with the Ugra walk-behind tractor and other similar analogues. A snow blower is recommended for private owners who have a country house or cottage. The design feature is a toothed screw. The knives quickly cope with even slightly icy crust on the snow cover. With rotational movements, the auger drives the snow mass to the central part, where throw-up blades are installed under the outlet nozzle. Snow is ejected through the sleeve at a distance of up to 10 m. During operation, the operator can easily change direction with a visor.

Attention! The snow ejection range depends not only on the speed of the walk-behind tractor motor shaft, but also on the slope of the guide visor.

The maximum cutting height of the snow layer is 68 cm. But it can, if necessary, be adjusted by skids installed at the bottom of the body on both sides. The grip width is limited to 45 cm. While working with the nozzle, the walk-behind tractor must move at a speed of 2 to 4 km / h. A feature of the model is the presence of a two-stage snow removal system that allows you to change the speed of the auger. The nozzle SM-0,6 weighs about 42 kg.

We have considered only two models of snowplows. Nozzles from other manufacturers can work with the Ugra walk-behind tractor. The main thing is that they fit according to the technical characteristics recommended by the manufacturer of the equipment.
