But the most important thing is that they are always comfortable! But it’s not that simple. If you wear sneakers a lot, be prepared for appearances to be deceiving. You may have health problems that you have not even thought about.

Heel spur development

Scientists from the United States came to the conclusion that the most comfortable shoes can be very harmful. Researchers from the University of Oregon conducted an experiment: they gave athletes to run on a special surface, with which it was possible to measure the force of impact of the foot on its surface. The result surprised many. It turns out that repetitive blows of this type can be compared in strength to hitting a hammer on your heel. Just imagine that the hammer weighs three times as much as yourself. Our favorite shoes do not reduce the likelihood of such harm, but only increase. This is especially true for sneakers with soft soles. These shoes increase the risk of developing heel spurs.

Poor posture and hernia

It would seem, what have sneakers got to do with it? After all, posture is usually affected by high heels. And to think so is a delusion. If you wear flat shoes for a long time, then the musculoskeletal system fails in the distribution of loads. This is due to the fact that the heel helps to distribute the weight of our body over the entire foot, while a flat sole does not have such properties. It is these violations in the system that negatively affect gait and posture. Moreover, the uneven load on the spine can even lead to the appearance of a hernia.
