Slipper – This is a perennial herbaceous plant that has creeping thick rhizomes and stems with small glandular hairs. The height of the stem can reach half a meter. Elliptical opposite leaves have a green tint and arc venation. Brightly colored large flowers are very similar to small shoes. The color of the perianth is usually yellowish with shades of brown. The slipper blooms in June. The fruit of the plant is presented in the form of a dry box.
Useful properties of the slipper
The slipper contains vitamins B1, B2, A and P, essential oil, resinous substances, tannin, various trace elements, tannins, as well as traces of organic acids. In addition, the presence of resins, flavonoids, calcium, silicon, potassium, iron, magnesium, manganese, cobalt, strontium and titanium was found in the plant.
Slipper application
The slipper is an excellent remedy for insomnia and headaches. In addition, such a unique remedy has a hypotensive effect. In folk medicine, to get rid of a headache, it is recommended to cover the patient’s head with fresh slipper leaves.

The slipper can be used as a laxative and diuretic. To prepare the infusion, you need 1 tsp. chopped herbs and 250 grams of boiling water. It is necessary to pour the mixture and leave for at least two hours. It should be taken 6 times a day for 1 tbsp. l. With uterine bleeding and heavy menstruation, you can use an aqueous infusion, for which 1 tsp. leaves are brewed with one glass of boiling water. It is recommended to take 50 ml at bedtime.
Slipper motley
The motley slipper is an unusual perennial plant from the popular orchid family. Such a plant has an elongated creeping root. The height of the motley shoe does not exceed 25 cm. This plant, as a rule, forms a large single flower. The flower delights with its exquisite white hue with original dark specks. This plant blooms in late May and early June. The motley slipper is widespread in Siberia, in the foothills of Altai, as well as in the Far East. This plant prefers deciduous forests and grassy glades, sunny hillocks and edges.
Slipper red
The red slipper is a large-flowered perennial plant with an upright stem. It has a creeping rhizome. The height of the red shoe rarely reaches 30 cm. Single flowers of the slipper are often quite large. The lilac-red shade gives this species a special charm. The perianth has an irregular shape. The fruit is presented in the form of an elegant box.
The red slipper blooms from mid-June to the end of July. Such a wonderful plant grows in deciduous forests on sandy soils. It can often be found in Ukraine, Russia and Belarus.
Slipper contraindications
Such a poisonous plant must be taken under the strict supervision of a specialist in order to avoid severe poisoning with inevitable damage to the nervous system. During pregnancy, the slipper is not assigned.
