Slimming drinks are just as important as food. Especially as part of a particular diet. In other words, correctly selected drinks will actively help you lose weight and acquire the desired forms, and vice versa – thoughtless consumption of any kind of liquids during the day can nullify literally any, even the most effective, diet …

So, there are several universal rules regarding the use of drinks for weight loss during almost any diet (with the exception of those that are themselves based on liquids – the so-called drinking diets on tea, juices, milk, broths, etc.). Here are some of them:

  • you need to drink a day not less than 1,5-2 l of liquidat least half of this volume should be clean water;

But in addition to traditional drinks – for example, tea (the benefits of which for weight loss have been proven for a long time), coffee or pure water, there are other, special recipes that answer the question of what to drink for weight loss.

Slimming drinks: time-tested recipes

  1. Water based on lime, lemon and cucumber

Ingredients: 2-2,5 liters of clean water without gas, 1 lime, 1 large lemon, 1 medium cucumber, ginger root (you can buy grated powder right away), 2-3 bunches of fresh mint.

Preparation (in the evening): Pour all the necessary water into the container. Grate ginger root on a fine grater (or take 1-2 teaspoons of ginger powder), cut lemon and lime into thin slices – add all these ingredients to the water. Also, you need to cut a cucumber in almost transparent circles and add it to a common container with water. Finally, add mint. Then place the container with lemonade in a cool place overnight. The entire resulting volume of this slimming drink must be drunk during the next day, and in the evening – prepare a new portion the next day.

  1. Slimming ginger drink

Ingredients: Ginger root (about 7-10 cm), a sprig of mint, 1 lemon, optional honey, aromatic spices, green tea.

There are about a dozen recipes for a ginger drink for weight loss – we will give the most simple recipe, on the basis of which it is “not a sin” to experiment.

Preparation: The main mistake in preparing ginger drinks for weight loss is boiling and boiling. Alas, at the boiling point, ginger partly loses its beneficial properties to enhance metabolism and speed up metabolism. Therefore, the scenario for preparing ginger drinks for weight loss should be like this: first, boil the kettle. And while the water in the kettle cools slightly, grate the ginger on a fine grater and put it in a heat-resistant container. Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon there. Add mint and spices. When the water cools down a little, you can pour the resulting mixture with it. If desired, you can add a green tea bag. Close the container with a lid, cover with a towel and let it brew. You can drink both cold and warm.

  1. Lemon honey drink for weight loss

Ingredients: 1,5 l of water, 6-7 lemons, 40-50 g of honey

Preparation: Add lemon juice and honey to water at room temperature, mix thoroughly. Drink all day long. Often this lemonade is used not only as an auxiliary drink for weight loss during a diet, but also as a separate drinking diet. Such a diet lasts only 1-2 days, but belongs to the category of strict ones – after all, in addition to lemonade, nothing else can be eaten on these days.

  1. Spicy masala tea to speed up metabolism

Ingredients (drink volume per day): 1,5 liters of milk (0,5% fat), 1 liter of water, 4-5 tbsp. loose black tea, if desired – 2 tsp. honey, 200 g fresh ginger, 5-7 peppercorns, a few cloves, a pinch of nutmeg, 5 cinnamon sticks (you can use 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder), if desired, a vanilla stick.

Preparation: Boil water, then reduce heat. Grate the ginger on a fine grater, break the cinnamon sticks into pieces. Add these and other spices to the water (the temperature should be slightly below the boiling point). After 2-3 minutes, slowly add milk to the water, then add black tea. After 5-7 minutes, the fire can be turned off altogether, but the tea still needs to be infused for 10-15 minutes. It is convenient to strain the tea first before drinking.
