Vita K is a dietary food for special medical purposes containing vitamin K. The preparation is available in two forms: in the form of drops squeezed from twist-off capsules and in the form of an aerosol for oral administration of the preparation.

VitaK – indications for use
Vita K is a preparation used:
- in the prevention of vitamin K deficiency,
- in breastfed newborns and infants from 2 weeks of age to 3 months of age.
VitaK and contraindications
Contraindications to taking the VitaK supplement are:
- allergy to any ingredient of the preparation,
- parenteral use.
Dosage
VitaK is a preparation in the form of drops squeezed from capsules: 25 mg (the content of 1 capsule being opened) once a day. The tip should be twisted and torn off, and then the content of 1 capsule should be squeezed into the expressed mother’s milk or directly into the baby’s mouth. When administering the supplement, be especially careful so that the child does not swallow the capsule.
Newborns and infants from 2 weeks to 3 months of age, breastfed:
- aerosol for oral administration of the preparation: 25 µg, ie 1 spray application (pressing the pump to the stop) directly into the child’s mouth once a day.
