An eruption is a superficial, acute, inflamed skin within folds (the surfaces of the skin touching and rubbing together). Lesions can occur in patients of all ages, they appear quite often in infants and the elderly. Diabetes and obesity are among the risk factors for displacement.

Deterioration – definition

Eczema is a dermatological condition characterized by acute inflammation of the skin in the area of skin folds rubbing together. The lesions can occur at any age, but they appear quite often in infants and the elderly. The location of the detriment is most often the groin area, the area under the breasts and armpits. These are ideal areas for the development of ailments because it is warm and humid there. Risk factors include diabetes mellitus, immunosuppression and obesity. The disease occurs when there is maceration of the epidermis in the area of folds, reduced evaporation of sweat, and bacterial and yeast displacement. The occurrence of the above changes should be immediately consulted with a dermatologist.

When does distortion occur?

Deterioration is an inflammation of the skin, which most often occurs in areas that are moist, warm and prone to the development of microorganisms. There is no one specific cause as it can occur on both a bacterial and fungal basis. The lesions may appear:

  1. under the armpits,
  2. in the gap between the buttocks,
  3. behind the ears,
  4. in the groin area,
  5. under the bust,
  6. under the foreskin,
  7. in the space between the toes.

In addition, there are factors that increase the risk of the disease, including:

  1. taking an antibiotic for a long time,
  2. obesity,
  3. diabetes,
  4. AIDS,
  5. overheating, excessive sweating,
  6. lack of personal hygiene in older people,
  7. neglecting the care of the baby’s skin,
  8. chemotherapy,
  9. condition after organ transplantation,
  10. hormonal disorders,
  11. steroid therapy,
  12. use of immunosuppressive drugs.

How is displacement manifested?

Symptoms of the following are present in patients with displacement:

  1. peeling of the skin
  2. reddening of the skin
  3. persistent itching,
  4. blemishes,
  5. red and white spots,
  6. shiny skin, when there is a yeast rash,
  7. epidermis maceration,
  8. erosions,
  9. strupy,
  10. exudes.

Diagnosis and treatment of displacement

In the diagnosis of erosion, bacteriological and mycological tests are performed (mycology examines fungi). In addition, it is important to differentiate the disease from other ailments with similar symptoms, e.g .:

  1. tinea,
  2. psoriasis,
  3. Hailey-Hailey disease,
  4. Darier’s disease,
  5. seborrheic dermatitis.

In the treatment of the disease, it is important to eliminate maceration-promoting factors, reduce excessive sweating, and local anti-inflammatory treatment. Patients should take care of proper skin care and personal hygiene. Anti-perspirants work well for people who sweat excessively. In the course of secondary yeast infections, topical azole preparations (clotrimazole, miconazole) are introduced, while in the case of secondary bacterial infections, they are oral or topical antibiotics (mupirocin). Clobetasol ointments are recommended for local treatment of inflammation.
