Gels, foams, creams with a peeling effect – this is not a complete list of products that are useful for cleansing and exfoliating the skin. Which one suits you, let’s try to find out in this article.
What are the features of cleansers
Means of cleansing and exfoliation occupy a special niche among all cosmetics. To date, it has been established that the beauty of the skin directly depends on how regularly and correctly you clean it. Find out by answering our quiz questions.
All cleaning products are based on surfactants – surfactants. They are responsible for the formation of foam and the removal of contaminants.
The basic rule of “long-playing” beauty is regular skin exfoliation.
What else should you pay attention to when choosing a product? To do this, you need to carefully study the composition.
Composition
Usually, cleansers contain moisturizing, nourishing and sebum-regulating components. It all depends on the type of skin.
Oily and combined
It is better to choose a cleanser and exfoliator according to the type of skin.
You should look at the tools, which include:
zinc;
salicylic acid;
fruit acids.
Normal, dry and sensitive
hyaluronic acid;
aloe juice;
vitamins A and E;
extracts of cornflower, chamomile.
As for exfoliators, here it is worth remembering the rule not to cleanse the skin “to a squeak”. For peace of mind, look for the softest abrasives in the composition:
crushed fruit pits;
polyethylene granules;
salt and sugar crystals;
polymeric microgranules.

How to choose an effective remedy
Exfoliate your skin at least 1-2 times a week.
To choose an effective cleanser and exfoliator, you need to understand the characteristics of your skin.
For dry and sensitive, products with an oily texture are suitable. Hydrophilic oils, milk or mousse for washing, which contain moisturizing ingredients, have proven themselves to be excellent.
For oily and combination, it is better to choose products that not only cleanse, but at the same time reduce the oiliness of the skin and have a mild exfoliating effect. It is worth paying attention to 3-in-1 products that combine the action of a scrub, mask and gel, as well as foams and gels designed specifically for your skin type.
Application rules
Before proceeding to cleansing the skin, it is necessary to remove makeup from the skin.
If you use hydrophilic oil or milk, apply a little on dry skin and spread it over the face with soft circular massaging movements. When you feel that the product has become harder to distribute, wet the skin with water. Then carefully wash off the formed foam.
For gels, mousses and foams, there is only one rule: apply a little product on wet skin, massage your face a little (without fanaticism) and rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Safety measures
There are no special contraindications for cleansing and exfoliating the skin.
After an invasive cosmetic procedure, the doctor will most likely advise you not to touch your face for a while, even for cleansing.
Exfoliating manipulations should be abandoned if there is obvious irritation or inflammation on the face.
Otherwise, there are no restrictions. Wash your face twice a day: in the morning and always in the evening – the skin will certainly thank you.
