Dry and sensitive skin requires a proper care approach. Improper habits or products can irritate her and throw her out of her natural balance. To strengthen and soothe her, take care of gentle care tailored to her needs.

If your skin is often irritated, red, and the surface is dry and rough, you most likely have sensitive skin that is prone to allergies. To soothe irritations and ensure the optimal level of hydration, reach for targeted, hypoallergenic care and remember a few things in your daily routine. Thanks to this, your skin will be in better condition than ever and you will quickly forget what irritations, itching and redness are.

Use safe and tested cosmetics

It is easy to irritate dry and sensitive skin. Therefore, choosing safe, tested cosmetics with hypoallergenic compositions is crucial for its balance. Reach for example for the Cerkopil series. Cerko’s hypoallergenic products protect the epidermal barrier and gently nourish and moisturize the skin. In the line you will find cosmetics for daily care, including face wash gel, which contains a mild surfactant based on amino acids with low irritating potential and emollients. Moisturizes, cleanses, soothes irritations, and effectively removes face and eye makeup. It can also be used as a shaving soap instead of foam.

Also try Cerkopil hypoallergenic face cream. It contains an active complex of glycyrrhetinic acid with L-Arginine, which has antipruritic properties and soothes irritations. Complete your daily care with a delicate eyelid and eye cream from the same series. Before you start using the product, test it on a small piece of skin for 24 hours.

Thoroughly but gently cleanse the skin

Your skin requires thorough cleansing, but because it is dry and sensitive, it is easier to redden and aggravate unpleasant symptoms. To cleanse the pores and wash away impurities, excess sebum and makeup residues accumulated during the day, reach for a mild, hypoallergenic face cleanser (e.g. the aforementioned Cerkopil gel). Wash your face twice a day with lukewarm water. Too hot can further dry out and irritate the skin. Then adjust the pH with a tonic or a mild hydrolate.

Reach for emollients

Emollients are perfect for the care of dry and sensitive skin. They soften and moisturize, they are gentle and safe, even for very reactive skin. Emollients create lipids, i.e. ingredients such as wax, fats, and oils. Nowadays, in cosmetology, vegetable fats or paraffin derivatives are most often used. Emollients create a protective layer on the surface of the epidermis, which is to strengthen the skin’s protective barrier and better protect it not only against external factors, but also against excessive water loss. They are recommended for the daily care of dry, sensitive, allergic and atopic skin.

Limit the number of products to the necessary minimum

Even if you love testing new products, try to create a base of several cosmetics that will definitely serve your skin. Daily care should include: face wash gel, tonic, eye cream, face cream. In your cosmetic bag, also have a mild scrub and a cream with a UV filter for going out of the house.

Instead of a fine peel, choose an enzymatic one

Rubbing sensitive and dry skin may not be the best idea. However, it is much better to fight for its proper hydration and regeneration if we get rid of the old epidermis layer. Regularly use a scrub to help you cleanse the pores better and prepare your skin for the next stages of care. Reach for an enzyme peeling which, thanks to mild acids, will not irritate even sensitive skin, and will allow you to enjoy a radiant and clean complexion.

Pay attention to the ingredients

Some active ingredients can greatly assist you in your fight for beautiful, healthy skin, but others can instead irritate your skin and increase unwanted reactions. If you have sensitive and allergic-prone skin, avoid aggressive and drying substances such as alcohol – this ingredient often acts as a solvent, so small amounts are usually not a problem, but always check how your skin behaves. Sensitive skin can react with irritation especially to substances of plant origin, e.g. herbs, extracts and essences of plants. If you want to supplement your care with natural cosmetics, such as oils, first choose pure oils without additives and gradually accustom your skin to them.
