It took years to create a unique scent. Philippe, CEO and son of the founders of the brand Hubert and Isabel d’Ornano, tested the first versions 20 years ago, he recalls that he liked them too. But the process was completed only now, and it was worth the wait.
Bergamot, lemon, bitter orange and … carrot seeds! As well as spices, reeds, mastic, vetiver and amber – these are the components of the perfume masterpiece, thanks to which Eau d’Ikar has become truly unique. We can safely say that this fragrance is unlike any of the existing ones, and its appearance in September promises to be a real surprise.
By the way, the bottle of Eau d’Ikar is also impressive: the water is enclosed in ice-transparent glass with a relief image of a male torso framed by a wing. The family entrusted its creation to the Polish sculptor Bronislaw Krzysztof. And also for a reason.
All members of the d’Ornano family (and this is a noble count family) are passionate collectors, they value antiques and contemporary art. Therefore, they themselves give the world real creations in the form of aromas and phytocosmetics. After all, Hubert and Isabelle consider Sisley their life’s work. They founded the brand in 1976 and since then have inspired the pursuit of beauty. Together with their parents, this passion is shared by their children: son Philip and daughter Christine d’Ornano, who now heads the UK branch. But the acquaintance with Eau d’Ikar was first arranged for Russian journalists. Even in France, the presentation took place a little later.
