  2. Sinus Rinse supplementary set for adults: 120 sachets with salt,

How does it work and how to use Sinus Rinse?

One sachet of salt (sodium chloride), when dissolved in a bottle according to the instructions – in the recommended amount of cooled, boiled water, produces an isotonic salt solution. This is the salt concentration recommended for daily hygiene and nasal and sinus irrigation. The shape and size of the bottle are tailored to the patient’s needs.

The sets for children and adults differ only in the size of the bottle and therefore the amount of salt in one sachet. In both cases, after dissolution, an equally concentrated saline solution is obtained. Salt solution has an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-swelling and moisturizing effect on the nasal and sinus mucosa.

Rinsing the nose and sinuses is the basic care treatment for rhinitis and sinusitis. If these are acute conditions accompanied by excessive secretion, the manufacturer recommends to prepare a hypertonic saline solution for rinsing, i.e. a more concentrated one. It helps in getting rid of a runny nose and cleanses the nose and sinuses, has a stronger antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect. Such a solution is recommended by the manufacturer by dissolving a double amount – that is, the content of two sachets – of salt in the same amount of water.

Not only infections are indications for the use of Sinus Rinse. In particular, the hygiene of the nose and sinuses should be taken care of before and after surgery. Washing with isotonic salt solution Sinus Rinse is perfect for this.

People with chronic rhinitis, taking certain medications that cause nasal discharge for too long, experience a state of mucosa recession. In such a situation, it is also recommended to rinse the nose and sinuses regularly with Sinus Rinse. It can also be used prophylactically to keep the nasal mucosa and sinuses in good condition.

Safety of use of Sinus Rinse products

Rinsing the nose and sinuses with the Sinus Rinse medical device is completely safe. It can be used by pregnant and lactating women. The children’s set is intended for use by children between 4 and 6 years of age. It should always be used under adult supervision in order to minimize the risk of a child misusing the product and of choking.
