Single dad writes touching notes to his daughter every day

It’s incredibly touching! We are accustomed to the fact that dads are much stingier on emotions and manifestations of feelings.

Meet Michael, the father of five-year-old Charlie. They have been living together for two years. Charlie’s mom left them and went to another country. This time became difficult for father and daughter. And wonderful at the same time.

Charlie was about to move from kindergarten to school. The girl was expecting this event with delight, and dad … Dad was scared. As he told the publication Kidspot, his daughter seemed to be torn into the future, and he was desperately trying to slow down the time.

Yes, Michael was much more worried than Charlie herself: the thought that he and his daughter would spend less time together terrified him.

– I was hugged by strangers in supermarkets, because I could not stop crying, – the man recalls. “I knew I was embarrassing Charlie, but there was nothing I could do about my tears.

In general, the transition period promised to be difficult – not for the daughter, but for the dad. Michael decided to make it simpler. At least for myself. He approached the problem outside the box. In any case, we at the editorial office could not remember a single similar case!

Michael, this incredibly caring dad, collected a box of lunch for his daughter every morning. And every time, besides the food itself, he put a note in this box.

“Smile because I love you.”

“You are my treasure! I love you, you make me happy. “

“I am proud of you, we are a great team, I am so lucky to have you!”

“I think you are amazing Charlie.”

“You are a star because you are kind, brave, smart, funny and polite.”

Cool, huh? But that’s not all. These are not just notes on a piece of paper torn in a hurry from a notebook. These are surprise letters – in the form of hearts, stars, smiles, fluffy sheep … And so every day. Every day is a different surprise.

Needless to say, Charlie loves these letters? It seems that any of us would cry with happiness, finding something like this in our purse. Or at least an extra WhatsApp message with words of such unconditional love.

And now she herself leaves notes for Michael. Not in the lunchbox, not in the fridge.

– I’m not used to seeing her in my school uniform yet. But she is the best thing in my life. And talking about how my day at school was the best time of my day, says Michael.

By the way, have you ever wanted to go to Australia? ..
