Silver carp is a delicious freshwater fish, the meat of which is easy to salt and pickle at home. With a minimum of effort, it is easy to get a tasty, and most importantly – healthy snack that will decorate any festive table.

How to pickle silver carp

In addition, silver carp pickled or salted at home can be stored for 2-3 months without any problems.

For salting silver carp in oil you will need:

  • 1 kilogram of silver carp (it is better to take a medium-sized fish)
  • vinegar
  • 300 grams of vegetable oil
  • 3 bulbs
  • salt, sugar, seasoning for salting fish

To give fish a spicy and pungent flavor, you don’t have to experiment with seasonings, risking ruining the dish. Ready-to-use pickling seasoning – ideal

The fish must be cleaned of scales, cut off the head, fins and tail. Gut. Rinse in cold water. Then cover with salt so that the surface of the fish is hidden, and let stand for 2 hours in a cold place.

Then you can start preparing a vinegar solution – 1 tablespoon of vinegar per liter of water – and place the fish in it for 30 minutes. Remove the pickled silver carp from the water, rinse thoroughly, cut into small pieces. The pieces are laid out in layers in a wide glass dish. Each layer is sprinkled with seasoning for salting fish, sugar (lightly), lined with onions and poured with vegetable oil.

After the fish is laid out, it must be covered with a flat plate, put oppression on top (for example, a three-liter jar of water) and put in the refrigerator for 6 hours. After this time, the delicious silver carp is ready.

For salting silver carp in marinade you will need:

  • 2 kilograms of silver carp
  • 5 bulbs
  • 200 grams of vegetable oil
  • cumin, bay leaf, coriander, salt, vinegar

Freshwater fish must be soaked in a solution of vinegar or salt water to avoid the possible entry of living parasites into the human body.

The fish must be cleaned of scales, cut off the fins, cut off the tail and head. Then place the fillet in a salt water solution for 6 hours. To prepare the solution, it is necessary to dilute 200 grams of salt per 1 liter of water.

The pickling marinade is prepared as follows: you need to mix 3 tablespoons of vinegar with vegetable oil, add pounded coriander and caraway seeds to the resulting mixture, put a bay leaf. Separately cut the onion into half rings. Prepare a glass or enamel dish in which the snack will be stored.

The fish is cut into small pieces, each is dipped in a marinade and placed in a bowl, chopped onion is placed on top. Lay out in layers. Pour the remaining marinade into the top layer. Put the dishes filled with fish in the refrigerator, let it brew for 2-3 hours. After this time, the pickled silver carp can already be eaten.
