The active ingredients contained in the liquid, which are soaked in the socks, penetrate the dead and callous epidermis causing its gradual exfoliation, which allows you to discover smooth and soft skin on the feet. How to use Silcatil exfoliating socks?

Silcatil – basic information

Silcatil is a preparation that is available in pharmacies and drugstores in the form of exfoliating socks. The use of this preparation is very quick and easy, thanks to which practically everyone can perform peeling and pedicure treatments at home. The ingredients that make up the composition of Silcatil are mainly plant acids with a keratolytic effect. The liquid in which the exfoliating socks are soaked contains acids: salicylic, glycolic and lactic. These acids soften the skin and then reduce the thickness of the stratum corneum. The penetration of these acids into the skin of the feet removes calluses, corns and thickenings. The fluid also contains urea, which has strong water-binding properties in the deeper layers of the epidermis. Urea moisturizes the skin of the feet, leaving it silky smooth and soft.

The indication for the use of Silcatil exfoliating socks is dry, calloused skin of the feet with numerous thickenings or corns. Socks with exfoliating fluid are also an indication for use in the care of the skin of the feet. Putting on exfoliating socks helps to perform peeling and pedicure treatments at home.

Silcatil – directions for use

The correct use of the Silcatil product affects the later effects of the treatment on the feet. Therefore, before applying exfoliating socks, it is worth carefully reading the instructions that come with the package. How to use Silcatil exfoliating socks can be presented in the following few steps:

  1. at the beginning, cut the socks with scissors along the marked perforation. Then, socks are put on washed and dried feet, taking care that the liquid contained in them does not spill during the application;
  2. in the next step, adjust the size of the sock to the size of the leg by using the adhesive strip included in the package. To achieve a better exfoliation effect and feel more comfortable during the treatment, you can additionally put on cotton socks;
  3. with the socks on, sit for about 120 minutes. After this time, the socks should be removed, and the remaining liquid on the feet should be washed with lukewarm water and then the feet dry with a towel;
  4. Silcatil socks are intended for single use, therefore they should be disposed of in the rubbish bin immediately after taking them off.
  5. The effects of the treatment may appear within 5 to 10 days. The waiting time for the results of using Silcatil exfoliating socks depends on the degree of epidermis callus and skin thickness.

When and why not to use Silcatil exfoliating socks?

Silcatil exfoliating socks should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the liquid. The contraindication to the use of socks is also irritated or damaged skin. Incorrect use of Silcatil exfoliating socks may cause itching, burning, or erythema. Keeping your feet in socks for too long may cause wounds on the heels and skin of the feet.
