Safety of COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna
The therapeutic characteristics of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine contain detailed information on the safety of the preparation. A clinical trial on this issue enrolled 30 participants, who were 351 years of age and older and received at least one dose of the vaccine or placebo.
What side effects did participants report after receiving vaccinin? The most common symptoms were pain at the injection site (70%), fatigue (70%), headache (64,7%), muscle pain (61,5%), joint pain (46,4%), chills (45,4%), nausea / vomiting (23%), armpit edema / tenderness (19,8%), fever (15,5%), injection site swelling (14,7% ) and redness (10%).
Undesirable effects of a drug, commonly referred to as side effects, are any harmful and unintended reaction that occurs after administration of a specific drug preparation at a therapeutic dose for the purpose of prophylaxis, diagnosis or treatment, regardless of the route of administration. As the manufacturer emphasizes, most local and systemic adverse reactions were mild to moderate in intensity and resolved within a few days of vaccination. He adds that overall, some side effects were more common in the younger age groups, and local and systemic side effects were reported more often after receiving the second dose of the vaccine than after the first dose.
