It is important to pay attention to the age of the seedling, which should not be more than two years old.
Planting a seedling includes the following:
- Dig up a three-meter section for planting.
- Prepare a pit on the site, which should be half the size of an earthen clod.
- Send a small amount of a mixture of 2 parts clay and one part peat to the bottom of the pit.
- Install the support.
- Immerse the root part of the seedling into the hole, which must be straightened in advance.
Fill the hole with the rest of the soil and a mixture of peat and clay. After finishing work, water the seedling abundantly.
How to grow Siberian cedar seedlings yourself
Before planting seeds, you should prepare them. They must be kept for several hours in a weak solution of potassium permanganate. This is done in order to exclude various fungal diseases. After the procedure, it is recommended to rinse the seeds thoroughly and fill them with warm water. In this state, they should be left for 3-5 days. The water must be changed at least once a day. After that, seed preparation is considered complete.
To land correctly, you should act according to the algorithm:
- Fill the box with a mixture of sand and peat and sow the seeds.
- Spread wet sawdust in a thin layer over the entire surface of the box.
- Place the drawer in a cool place, where the temperature will be slightly above freezing.
- Move the box to a warm place half a month before transplanting and then sow.
After 2 years, the seedlings will be ready for planting. Remember to water regularly.
