Planting shrubs and caring for the action
The shrub is planted separately or in combination with perennials. In landscape design, it is used to create artificial hedges or borders.
The acquired seedlings are planted in the spring, until the buds on the trees swell. At a later date, it is allowed to plant only container plants with a closed root system. Choose a place taking into account all the requirements of the shrub, so that it is illuminated in the morning. During the day, the leaves of the action should not burn in the sun. The distance between the bushes depends on the design; for a hedge, the seedlings are placed tightly. In a normal planting, about 2,5 m is left between the plants.
The depth of the planting pit is 50 cm. The root collar is deepened by 1–2 cm.
Beautiful blooms can only be seen on fertile soil, so feed the plant regularly with mineral complexes. The action is rarely watered, since it does not tolerate too wet soil.
To form a beautiful crown, the plant is pruned in spring and autumn. In the spring, they do only sanitary cleaning of the bush, cut out damaged and dry shoots. Last year’s shoots are not shortened, since flowers are formed on them. In the fall, cut off the faded shoots by 1/3, cut the excess and thickening branches to the base.
As you can see, growing action is not that difficult. And a variety of species will help you choose the shrub that is suitable for design. Follow all the rules and tips to keep your bloom happy every year.
