Shrimp in garlic sauce: recipe

Fried, boiled, stewed shrimp are very tasty and healthy in themselves. And you can marinate shrimp like meat. In addition, this procedure will take much less time. In order to diversify the taste of this seafood delicacy, it can be prepared in different ways. The marinade is best selected based on taste preferences. But if the task is to get a delicate and juicy product, it is better to use garlic sauce.

The store often sells frozen seafood. Therefore, defrost them completely before using them. It is recommended to do this at night. Without removing the shrimp from the packaging, transfer them from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. After complete defrosting, rinse under running water, carefully remove the shell, remove the heads and entrails in the form of intestines.

For a recipe for shrimp in garlic sauce, take the following ingredients:

– frozen shrimp – 0,5 kg; – lemon juice – 1 tablespoon; – vegetable oil – 3 tablespoons; – garlic – 2-3 cloves; – chili pepper – 1 tsp; – green onions – 100 g; – granulated sugar – 1 tsp; – turmeric – 1 tsp; – coriander seeds – 0,5 tsp; – bay leaf – 1 pc .; – ground black pepper – to taste; – ginger – to taste; – salt to taste.

For the sauce, take peeled and washed onions, garlic, chop them. The first is to heat the onion in a preheated pan until golden brown. Use sunflower or olive oil to fry it. Next, add garlic and chili pepper to the onion one by one. At this stage, the taste of this dish can be enriched with seasonings: turmeric, paprika, coriander and ginger. Each of them will need one pinch. The entire frying process should take no more than 5 minutes.

In the next step, to make delicious fried shrimp in garlic sauce, boil the fragrant sauce by adding a little water to the fried mass. Here you need to add ground pepper, sugar and salt to taste, bay leaf. It will be enough to boil all 5 minutes over low heat. It remains to add lemon juice, vegetable oil (preferably olive oil) to the cooled mass, and the marinade will be ready.

The shrimp can also be sautéed in a skillet and then sprinkled with sauce. Add a pinch of flour to thicken the garlic water

Soak the shrimp in the cooked marinade for about 40 minutes. Then place them on wooden skewers soaked in cold water. Then place on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil. Bake the product in the oven at 200 ° C, pouring over the remaining sauce.

Garnish with onion feathers, lemon wedges, cauliflower buds, broccoli and asparagus pods

Remove the baked dish after 15 minutes. Serve while the treat is still hot.
