Shrimp in batter: how to cook? Video

Shrimp not only have an amazing taste, but also contain many beneficial substances for humans. They contain a lot of protein and practically no fat, which makes them a dietary and nutritious product. Cooked in batter, shrimp can become not only an original snack for beer or wine, but also act as an independent dish.

Shrimp in batter with nut-garlic sauce

Ingredients: – 400 g shrimp; – 2 proteins; – 2/3 cup vegetable oil; – ½ cup walnuts; – 2 tbsp. tablespoons of potato starch; – a clove of garlic; – 2 tbsp. tablespoons of sour cream; – parsley; – salt and black pepper to taste.

Defrost the shrimps, peel the shell and head. Fry the walnuts in a preheated skillet without oil for 3 minutes and crush. Separate the whites from the yolks. Prepare the batter. To do this, pour a little water into the whites and beat them well with a whisk until an airy foam forms. Add half of the starch and beat well again. Dip the shrimps in the remaining starch, dip in batter and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.

To get rid of excess fat, immediately lay out the fried shrimp on a paper napkin.

Prepare the sauce. Mix the garlic, sour cream, 1 yolk, nuts, black pepper and salt in a separate bowl. Add chopped parsley and mix well. Serve the fried shrimp with the sauce.

Ingredients: – 400 g of shrimp; – egg; – 2-3 tbsp. tablespoons of flour; – 1 tbsp. spoon of water; – 1 tbsp. a spoonful of mayonnaise; – salt to taste.

Defrost the shrimps in cold water, peel and dry a little. Make a batter by mixing egg, flour, water, and salt. Add mayonnaise to it and stir everything well. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the shrimp in it, dipping them in batter beforehand. In this way, you can fry any seafood.

Shrimps in a spicy light beer batter

Ingredients: – 500 g of tiger prawns; – 2 cloves of garlic; – ½ glass of light beer; – 1 egg white; – olive oil; – lemon; – 4 tbsp. tablespoons of flour; – salt to taste.

To make batter, pour beer into flour, add vegetable oil and protein. Whisk until smooth. Let the batter brew for 1 hour. In the meantime, defrost the shrimp, peel off the shell, remove the head and pat dry on a napkin. Dip the shrimp in a marinade made from 3 tbsp. tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil and chopped garlic. Leave the shrimp for 20-30 minutes to marinate well. After the allotted time, melt vegetable oil in a pan and fry the shrimps in it, dipping them in batter. Finished shrimp should have a golden crust.
