The availability of shrimp opens up a huge field of activity for the preparation of various dishes from them, which can be simple, and can be a real masterpiece of culinary.
The beneficial properties of shrimp, like all seafood without exception, are beyond doubt. They contain a large amount of vitamins, amino acids, iron, calcium, iodine and other substances necessary for the body. People who regularly eat shrimp are distinguished by good immunity, they are not worried about allergies and vascular diseases.
Shrimps are an excellent dietary product, 100 gr. shrimp contains only 98 kcal. If you want to have a slim figure, then eat boiled shrimp, you can do this, practically, without restrictions, without worrying about the deposition of excess weight in problem areas. Moreover, boiled shrimp is a 100% source of natural protein, thanks to which the condition of the skin, hair and nails is improved, which is important for girls who care about how they look.
Of course, fresh shrimp contains the maximum amount of nutrients. Unfortunately, the geographical position of our country is such that most of the major cities are located far from the coast, where you can pamper yourself with fresh seafood. But modern methods of deep freezing make it possible to preserve most of the useful elements in shrimp. In supermarkets, you can easily buy high-quality and good shrimp, the original taste of which remains even after freezing.
Which shrimp to give preference to when choosing: pre-packaged or weighed, everyone must decide for themselves, but the rule remains unchanged that the presence of black heads indicates the poor quality of the shrimps and their long-term storage in a frozen state. Greenish heads are not dangerous, this color indicates the type of shrimp nutrition.
When choosing shrimp, pay attention that they are evenly covered with a thin layer of ice, large icing adds extra weight to the product and says that its storage conditions are inadequate.
Shrimps are not only healthy, but also elementary in preparation. The easiest way to cook shrimp is to boil them in salted water. A great option for a nutritious and healthy whip up dinner. But, when cooking shrimp, do not get carried away with the cooking time, as the overcooked meat becomes tough and tasteless. The boiling time for shrimp after boiling is 3-4 minutes.

Warm shrimp salad with arugula and tomatoes
Ingredients:
- Peeled shrimps – 500 gr.
- Arugula – 120 gr.
- Cherry tomatoes – 240 gr.
- Olive oil – 1,5 Art. l
- Garlic – clove
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp l.
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper to taste
Heat oil in a large skillet and add cherry tomatoes. They need to be cooked until the skin begins to burst; for those who love tomato paste, you can achieve more of it by slightly pressing on the tomatoes.
Squeeze a clove of garlic into the tomato paste and continue simmering for 30 seconds.
Add shrimps to the tomatoes and simmer for 6 minutes until tender.
Add arugula, salt, pepper to shrimp and tomatoes and simmer until the arugula becomes soft, this process takes about 1 minute.
Put everything in a bowl, season with lemon juice and stir. Salad ready.
Shrimp and orange salad
Another simple and healthy shrimp salad recipe.
Ingredients:
- Shrimps – 500 gr.
- Orange – 1 pcs.
- Green salad
- Parmesan – to taste
- Soy sauce to taste
- Olive oil to taste
- Lemon juice to taste
- Pepper to taste
Boil the shrimps in salted water, put in a colander, drain, cool and peel.
Peel the orange peel and white films, cut the pulp into large pieces.
Put the lettuce leaves on a plate, you can tear them a little with your hands or leave them whole, as you like. Put shrimp and orange on them.
Prepare a dressing with soy sauce, lemon juice, olive oil and pepper. Season with shrimp and sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Salad ready.
Vegetable puree soup with shrimps
Ingredients:
- Peeled shrimps – 300 gr.
- Bulb – 1 pcs.
- Carrots – 1 pieces.
- Potatoes – 3 pcs.
- Cauliflower – 200 gr.
- Broccoli – 200 gr.
- Bulgarian pepper – 1 pc.
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Dill – small bunch
- Salt – to taste
- White pepper – to taste
- Water – 1,5 l.
Put chopped vegetables into boiling salted water and cook until cooked. When the vegetables have become soft, load them into a blender and grind them until they are puree. We put on fire, add shrimp, pepper and dill. Cook until the shrimp is cooked, it takes 3-4 minutes. The soup is ready. Served with garlic croutons, it tastes especially good.
Pasta with shrimps and zucchini
Italian cuisine is unthinkable without shrimp, which is added to pasta.
Ingredients:
- Spaghetti or other long pasta – 1 pack
- Tiger prawns – 25-30 pcs.
- Zucchini – 1 pc.
- Parmesan – 120 gr.
- Chili pepper – 1pc.
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Olive oil to taste
- Oregano or basil to taste
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper to taste
Chilli mode, crush the garlic with a knife. Put the pepper and garlic in a hot frying pan with olive oil. Fry for 3-5 minutes, discard the pepper and garlic. A spicy, aromatic shrimp oil remains.
Put shrimp, salt in a pan and season with pepper and herbs, fry until tender. Depending on their size, this time can take 5-7 minutes.
Boil the pasta. Using a vegetable cutter, cut the zucchini into thin ribbons about 2 cm wide. Take the fried shrimp out of the pan, and put the zucchini ribbons in their place, fry them for 2-3 minutes. Put the shrimps in the pan again, add a little water and simmer under the lid.
Rub the Parmesan. Put the finished pasta in a pan with shrimp and zucchini, add a couple of handfuls of cheese. Stir and leave under the lid for one minute.
Put the finished, aromatic pasta on plates and sprinkle with cheese. Bon Appetit!
