Can we do something to vaccinate faster? In Great Britain, vaccination is happening at a rate of 140 people per minute. Why is it not successful in Poland? – At the moment we do not have vaccines and this is the main problem – explained prof. Krzysztof Pyrć from the Małopolska Center of Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University in an interview with Bartosz Węglarczyk in the “Onet Rano.” Program.
– Last week it turned out that the largest supplier is limiting supplies in Europe, which completely blocks the possibility of vaccination. At this point, the limit is how many vaccines are in Poland. Let’s hope that in the near future there will be vaccines from other manufacturers, such as AstraZeneca, which has already submitted an application for approval of their vaccine – explained Prof. Throw.
Should we be able to commercially vaccinate without queuing? – he asked the guest “Onet Rano.” Bartosz Węglarczyk.
– It will definitely happen at some point, we have a whole lot of companies that take part in this race – explained prof. Throw. – Now we are at the stage of vaccinating patients from the highest risk groups, so now this shortage means that every dose is saving human life. But it is also about saving the health service, vaccination of this group is an absolute priority for me. Thanks to this, it will be possible to say that we will not go to the wall of an epidemic catastrophe – added the guest of Węglarczyk.
