Short nails: how to learn to paint? Video tutorial

Prepare your nails before applying varnish. Equalize their length, remove cuticles and burrs. An uneven plate can be tidied up with a soft sanding file. After processing, apply a layer of a protective base to the plates, it will provide an even coating of the varnish and protect the nails from yellowing. Cover soft and easily bendable nails with a base with special reinforcing fibers, the varnish will last much longer on it.

Take a little varnish on the brush, wipe the excess over the neck of the bottle. Place the brush in the middle of the nail plate and gently nudge it towards the cuticle line. Then sweep your brush towards the tip of the nail. Repeat the technique, applying varnish from the sides. Do not apply pressure to the brush, as streaks may appear on the enamel. If the varnish has thickened, dilute it with a special liquid.

For a thicker finish, apply a second coat of varnish. Try to match its borders with the first layer. Unsuccessful lines can be erased with a special correcting pencil or a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover. With the help of liquid, you can also correct the cuticle line. Dip a flat brush in acetone and trace the cuticle line with it. Do this while the varnish is still wet.

Top coating will help to hide minor errors of manicure. Short nails look more impressive with a shiny glossy top. Apply it in one layer, making sure that the glossy layer completely covers the colored varnish. For special occasions, a coating with a fine shimmer or holographic effect is suitable.
