Sevilla tapas week

Throughout the week the third contest of ‘Seville Tapas Week’.

From last November 6 until next November 16 you can taste the tapas submitted to the contest with a drink from one of its main sponsors: Cruzcampo, Cocacola, Barbadillo and La Ina.



The Business Association of Hospitality of Seville and Province, for the third consecutive year leads this initiative that brings together 150 hotel establishments of the city of Seville and its surroundings, to help value its gastronomic tradition and help spread the cult of “tapa“.

In this third edition of the contest, apart from the staging of the snacks made by the participants, citizen participation has been sought not only by tasting, but also with their active collaboration through technological tools for the samartphone through Qr codes , and thus be able to follow the event and consult the participating venues, their tapas, etc.

The Contest has the category of contest, and establishments participate in three different categories:

  • The Most Sevillian Tapa
  • La Tapa Gourmet
  • The Flavors Cap of the Province

The winners of each category will come out of the popular vote for art of the visitors of each establishment together with the assessment of a professional jury that will classify them among the three most acclaimed for each category, where the winners will come out after cooking them for the jury in a final showcooking.

The award and recognition of the winners will be complemented with a “Master class” at BBC (Basque Culinary Center) of San Sebastián, so that they take advantage of all the knowledge and innovation that the center has been contributing to Food and Gastronomy for years.
