Severe tachycardia: what to do, an attack of tachycardia

In moments of happiness, excitement, we can feel a strong heartbeat. But it so happens that such sensations occur for no reason. If you feel that the pulse is quickening and beating right under the throat, it means that you have severe tachycardia, which you need to fight, otherwise there can be very serious consequences.

Causes of severe tachycardia

From childhood, we know that the heart is an important organ and as long as it beats, we are alive. The heart rate is controlled by internal and external systems, including the endocrine glands and the nervous system. The internal cardiac conduction system consists of muscle fibers connecting the nodes between the ventricles, His bundles, Purkinje fibers, and the atria. They contribute to normal muscle contraction and blood flow into the ventricles, then into the blood vessel.

All these are complex scientific words, it is better to carefully study what is the cause of this condition:

  • disruption of the conducting cardiac system, leading to a failure of blood circulation, blood supply to the muscle. This condition can lead to coronary artery disease, arrhythmias and pose a threat to human life;
  • failures of endocrinology or autonomic nervous system. Diagnoses such as hyperfunction or thyrotoxicosis increase excitability, which leads to myocarditis, severe tachycardia with a rapid pulse rate of up to 120 beats per second;
  • adrenal tumor. The release of adrenaline increases, the pulse quickens, the work of the autonomic nervous system is disrupted;
  • menopause. Hormonal changes in a woman’s body leads to a malfunction of the endocrine system.

Also, heart failure can be caused by:

  • spicy and fatty (also salty) foods;
  • alcoholic drinks, energy drinks;
  • smoking, drugs;
  • being in an unventilated room;
  • allergic reaction to food, seasonal allergies, etc.
