PSYchology

The School of Fun series was opened in 2005 with Artur Givargizov’s Notes of an Outstanding Loser. In these books on a spiral, amusingly designed as a school notebook, there are both poems and prose — comic, and sometimes even hooligan in spirit. The illustrations of the permanent artist of the series, Elena Blinova, match them.

Some of the books won literary awards — at the end of 2008, the collection «Semi-Clever Poems» by Alexander Zhorin won the All-Russian Competition for Children’s and Youth Literature «Scarlet Sails». And the new book by Sergei Silin includes humorous stories about the schoolboy Petya (“From the Life of Oklahoma”), parodies of children’s horror stories and other funny stories (“Stop chewing on the railing!”).
