Septolux aerosol is used to treat the symptoms of inflammation of the mouth and throat in bacterial and viral infections, laryngitis, inflammation of the mucous membranes after radiotherapy, conditions after surgery in ENT and dentistry, after intubation.

ACTION
Septolux aerosol is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
Septolux aerosol – indications and dosage
Septolux aerosol is a preparation intended for the treatment of the symptoms of inflammation of the mouth and throat:
- in laryngitis,
- in conditions after surgical procedures in laryngology and dentistry,
- after intubation,
- in inflammation of the mucous membranes after radiotherapy,
- in bacterial and viral infections.
Drug dosage
Septolux aerosol is a nasal solution. Do not exceed the recommended dose of the preparation as it may pose a threat to your life or health.
- Adults and children after the age of 12 4-8 doses 2-6 times / day, not more often than every 1,5-3 hours.
- Children 6-12. 4 doses 2-6 times / day, no more frequently than every 1,5-3 hours.
- Children up to 6 years of age: 1 dose per 4 kg of body weight (max. 4 doses) 2-6 × / d, not more frequently than every 1,5-3 h.
Septolux aerosol and contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation is a contraindication to the use of Septolux aerosol.
Septolux aerosol – warnings
- Avoid contact of Septolux aerosol with the eyes.
- A doctor should be consulted if there is no improvement after a short-term use of the drug.
- Methyl parahydroxybenzoate in the Septolux aerosol may cause allergic reactions.
- Long-term use of the preparation may cause allergy. In such a situation, the treatment should be discontinued and appropriate procedures should be implemented.
- Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before taking the preparation.
Septolux aerosol with other drugs
There are no known interactions of Septolux aerosol with other preparations.
Septolux aerosol and side effects
Using the Septolux spray can cause the following side effects:
- numbness or loss of sensation at the application sites,
- a rare prickling or tingling sensation,
- sometimes a slight burning sensation of the mucosa,
- local side effects are usually transient, resolve spontaneously and rarely require treatment discontinuation.
- the preparation is absorbed in a small amount into the circulation,
- Side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache and dizziness are rare and not very intense.
