Septolete (Apple, Cherry, Lemon) are lozenges recommended in the local treatment of light infections of the mouth and throat, such as:

  1. pharyngitis,
  2. laryngitis,

Drug dosage

Septolete is a lozenge and should be taken orally. Do not exceed the recommended dose of the drug as it may endanger your life or health.

  1. Adults and children after the age of 12, suck 1 lozenge every 2-3 hours, max. 8 lozenges / day.
  2. Children 10-12. age 1 lozenge every 3-4 hours, max. 6 lozenges / day.
  3. Children 4-10. age max. 4 lozenges / d.

A contraindication to the use of Septolete (Apple, Cherry, Lemon) is hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation.

Septolete (Apple, Cherry, Lemon) – warnings

  1. Septolete should not be taken in the case of wounds and erosions in the mouth.
  2. A doctor should be consulted if the infection is characterized by high fever, headache and vomiting, especially if the symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3 days.
  3. Diabetics should take into account that each tablet contains approximately 1 g of maltitol and that insulin is required for its biotransformation.
  4. Maltitol affects blood glucose only marginally due to slow hydrolysis and slow absorption from the gastrointestinal tract.
  5. Septolete lozenges contain polyhydric alcohols (mannitol, maltitol) which can cause diarrhea in high doses.
  6. Glycerol, administered in high doses, may cause headaches and gastrointestinal disturbances.
  7. Septolete is not recommended for children under 4 years of age.
  8. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before taking the drug.

Septolete (Apple, Cherry, Lemon) with other drugs

You should not take Septoplete with milk at the same time as it reduces the effectiveness of the antimicrobial effect of cetylpyridinium chloride.

The use of Septolete (Apple, Cherry, Lemon) may cause:

  1. rarely gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea and diarrhea, especially when the drug is used in doses higher than recommended,
  2. very rarely irritation and rash may occur.
