Medical consultations, practical advice and competitions await all present and future mothers, as well as parents who will visit the Port of Łódź on September 21 and 22 as part of the “Happy Child, Happy Mother 2018” campaign. The tests will start at 11. The order of applications is decisive.
Pregnant mothers will be able to perform a free ultrasound examination, which enables the evaluation of the fetal development and helps in detecting possible abnormalities. The possibility of performing a 4D ultrasound will be an amazing experience. The examination makes it possible to “see” the baby in its mother’s belly. The sight of a moving child is unforgettable emotions for parents who build a bond with the child even in the prenatal period.
In the Port of Łódź, for the purposes of research, two rooms will be created, equipped with ultrasound machines and the necessary equipment. There is no prior record. The order of applications decides. The tests will start at 11.00 a.m. In case of high interest, people waiting at the start of the campaign will be able to enter the list. The number of places is limited.
Experts at consultation points will also provide advice, inter alia, in terms of:
1. preparation for childbirth
2. the benefits of breastfeeding
3. care of infants and young children
4. proper diet of a pregnant woman and a nursing mother
5.obtaining and storing umbilical cord blood stem cells, which, if necessary, will serve the health of the child or, in the case of genetic compatibility, other family members
6. creating a unique bond between a parent and an infant
7. the influence of carrying and hugging a baby in scarves on his emotional development
8. recovery from childbirth
The action also includes:
- safe bathing instruction
- presentation of ways of arranging a baby in a sling
- examination of the hair structure
- numerous competitions with prizes
The Łódź edition of the nationwide campaign »Happy Child, Happy Mother 2018 ″ will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 21 and 22 at PORT ŁÓDŹ, ul. Pabianicka 245, from 11.00-16.00.
