The separate nutrition movement arose when people began to think about the incompatibility of their usual products. That when you eat two ingredients, one of them may not be absorbed or cause discomfort in the abdomen.
The author of the method, Russian academician Pavlov, proved that the body secretes different digestive juices for the processing of a particular product. American physicians later developed the initial theory and put together a whole food system.
But even in ancient times, people tried to mix products as little as possible, noticing the negative effect of such a diet.
– Some products, already getting into a common plate, begin to conflict with each other. For example, substances contained in cucumbers destroy vitamin C, which is found in tomatoes. It is better to eat tomatoes together with cabbage.
– A black bread and cheese sandwich increases blood sugar levels, although eaten alone does not cause this effect.
– The way food is prepared plays an important role. So, when boiled, vegetables give up most of their vitamins to water, and steamed or stewed in vegetable oil retain all their benefits.
– All types of bread and meat are poorly connected to each other. While the stomach is digesting the meat, the bread yeast begins to ferment, causing bloating and pain.
– The main foods that cannot be mixed in one meal are proteins, carbohydrates and live foods (vegetables, fruits, berries, mushrooms).
– Along with hard-to-digest proteins, you can eat green, non-starchy vegetables. They neutralize the harmful properties of proteins and aid in their digestion.
– Do not eat both animal and plant proteins in one sitting – the digestion time and the necessary enzymes for both species will be different.
– Butter is not the best dressing for a side dish. Beans, peas, lentils, corn are best seasoned with vegetable fats, and starchy cereals with butter will become a real calorie bomb and a threat to your weight. The same goes for combining potatoes with butter.
– Desserts and sweet pastries are best eaten after a long break. Eating them right after your main meal will cause pain, cramping, and gas in your intestines and stomach.
Butter baked goods in themselves are a collection of incompatible ingredients, and it is not recommended for anyone to eat them.
For separate nutrition, it is important not only to eat foods separately from each other, but also to cook them in different dishes and in different ways that are most suitable for them. Even cutting boards and knives for all types of products should be separate – this way you will achieve one hundred percent separate nutrition and prevent the exchange of microbes.
