This is the first shampoo containing, in addition to the usual washing and nutritional substances, selenium sulfide (present at a concentration of 1 percent); this ingredient has a strong antifungal effect – this compound inhibits the development of dermatophytes responsible for mycosis of the epidermis, hair and nails; it also has a cytostatic effect on the skin, thus helping to inhibit skin exfoliation and fight itching and skin irritation. The remaining ingredients of the shampoo Selsun Blue is bentonite, citric acid, 1,3-dimethyl-5,5 dimethylhydantoin, magnesium aluminum silicate, titanium dioxide, sodium lauryl ether, ethoxylated lauryl alcohol, blue dye (E 131), fragrance (Firmenich 46.083), purified water, cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride and sodium hydroxide. The product has a pH that is safe for skin and hair. Shampoo Selsun Blue it is available for normal and oily hair. Its price, depending on the facility, ranges from 22 to even 36 PLN. Application of Selsun Blue shampoo

The use of each medicinal product should be agreed with the physician, and the dose should be adjusted to the individual patient’s needs. Recommended use of shampoo Selsun Blue in the case of dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis, it is recommended to apply the preparation twice a week for the first two weeks of therapy; over time, the preparation can be used once a week or even less frequently. For the treatment of tinea versicolor, shampoo Selsun Blue should be used once a day for a week. After applying a small amount of the preparation, it should be left for 2-3 minutes, then rinsed with plenty of water.

Contraindications and warnings related to the use of Selsun Blue shampoo

The only one a contraindication for applying shampoo Selsun Blue is hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients of the preparation. Shampoo Selsun Blue should not be used on irritated or damaged epidermis or on inflamed skin.
