Autosuggestion (autosuggestion) is a process of suggestion addressed to oneself, one of the methods of self-government of the individual. Widely used in sports pedagogy; in psychotherapy; when teaching foreign languages; in self-education.
Emile Coué is considered to be the «father» of the modern theory of self-hypnosis. He was the first to draw attention to the fact that people who believe in their cure recovered easier and faster, and medicines helped them better.
Self-hypnosis is a fascinating process and sometimes gives amazing results. It can be used to cure diseases. And you can also buy them. A positive or negative effect depends only on the attitude of the person. There have been cases when cancer was cured with the help of self-hypnosis. And it happened that they acquired schizophrenia.
I remember the story of one friend, let’s call her Katya, whose grandmother had schizophrenia. The girl was afraid of this all her life. As a result, she acquired a chronic neurosis, which began to progress rapidly. The case could have ended very badly if she had not been sent to the doctor in time, who explained to the girl that schizophrenia is not a hereditary disease. And you don’t have to be afraid of it. After a short course of therapy, the girl became a healthy and happy person. What was the main task solved by the doctor in working with Katya? He gave her a positive attitude. She used to think about illness, but now about health.
When a person makes self-hypnosis involuntarily, uncontrollably, the results of this are unpredictable. And since many of our fellow citizens have both the habit and the love of being afraid of everything, self-hypnosis is most often negative. How to prevent it? Take the process into your own hands, under your control and start doing the necessary, positive self-hypnosis.
Self-hypnosis can occur in different forms. Basic forms:
- Text. Specific textual (speech) autosuggestions are called Affirmations. See also Negative and positive self-hypnosis
- Picture (images). Light and bright pictures create a bright mood, and keep them in front of your eyes.
- Body. Slouched shoulders make self-hypnosis of low self-esteem («Hard life, I get tired, I can’t cope»). Correct, energetic posture gives positive self-hypnosis.
- Face (muzzle). The transverse fold on the forehead inspires the person himself: «Life is complicated.» Curved lips make self-hypnosis: «Ah, everything is crooked!» See facial expression
Will self-hypnosis be effective? — Not always. For them to be effective, you need to give yourself a) the right settings and b) make yourself receptive to these installations.
Tips for making the right settings for yourself:
- The statement should reflect what you want, not what you are trying to get rid of. Do not use the particle «not» when making statements and do not mention any negative points. “I stop forgetting everything” is wrong. “My memory is getting better every day. I have a great memory!” — right.
- The installation should have a specific meaning, be simple and understandable. “I love and I love” is excellent.
- Create a positive background, use phrases: I like, I enjoy, with pleasure … «I like to do good to people» — the correct wording!
- Form an attitude in the present, not in the future. Use verbs — their subconscious «reads» as a call to action. “Luck helps me in all matters”, “I am full of strength and energy” — why not?
- Speak the settings not automatically, but with meaning. Don’t be lazy: live them, try to immerse yourself in them, feel each formula. Feel it makes you feel better. So, take good care of yourself!
