Self-motivation is the motivation and pushing oneself to the fulfillment of assigned goals, the internal launch of energy in one direction or another.
A person needs two types of energy: energy to move forward in general (this is defined by the concept of «energy», or basic self-motivation), and energy to move oneself in a certain direction, self-motivation for specific things — for example, to sit down yourself for lessons or to lift yourself from a chair, looking up from the computer.
Many young people and girls have overflowing energy, they seem to have a motor. Those who are “brakes” in life often envy them, but the “motors” themselves know their problem: the motor does not always move them in the right direction, it can be difficult for people with high energy to control themselves, they are sometimes “drifted around corners”. When life energy stops splashing over the edge, it becomes easier to manage oneself.
However, it happens that over time — or after some difficult events — the internal motor begins to fail and weaken. Internal energy — decreases, a person slows down or begins to enter a stupor from time to time. The reasons for this may be different. Most often, this is age, psychological blocks, a low level of personality development — and a banal simulation framed by lies: “Whoever wants, looks for opportunities. Those who don’t want to justify themselves with low self-motivation.”

And we recall the main thing: a healthy and energetic person who knows his goals does not need self-motivation. A person who often complains that he needs motivation is a person who is either sick or wants to receive some benefits.
A separate issue is self-motivation for specific deeds. It does not work
