Sect diet food
A large number of unverified facts and myths always circulate around the topic of healthy eating and weight loss. It is important here to critically approach each of them and always remember that sports and a balanced diet are the healthiest and safest way to keep fit.
For a month now, three winners of our competition have been actively involved in the #Sekta weight loss school. Here they learned about the rules of a balanced diet, and also received answers to the most common questions about losing weight. As an example, we have collected a few common statements and asked the #Sekta science department to comment on them:
Undoubtedly, if you lean on sugary and refined carbohydrate-rich foods, such as white bread, pasta, baked goods, etc., there is a significant risk of health problems, including heart disease and diabetes. But if “good carbs” such as whole grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables fall out of favor, you are depriving your body not only of its primary source of fuel, but also of vital nutrients and fiber. In addition, it is very difficult for most people to stick to a low-carb diet for a long time.
2. Carbohydrates and proteins are not digested together
There is no scientific evidence for this claim. Our body is able to digest chicken and potatoes, rice with legumes, and muesli with yogurt equally effectively.
3. Breast milk disappears from exercise and ascetic nutrition
If you stick to the average intensity of training, then there should be no problems with milk. Exercise will help you burn fat, tighten your body, increase energy levels, improve well-being, and reduce stress levels and PMS symptoms. Exercise speeds up the metabolism and, in combination with a balanced diet, guarantees more visible and long-term results.
4. You need to eat some proteins to build muscle
Protein is important for building muscle, but cells need carbohydrates to function properly – muscles are not built in a vacuum.
5. If you drink 2 liters of water, you will “swell”
They do not “swell” from the water. The body is a unique system, and the kidneys are efficient enough to filter all excess water. If the salt balance is disturbed or in certain phases of the menstrual cycle, water can be retained in the body, but even in these cases, it is better to drink more in order to return the body to normal operation.
6. You can not eat after 6 pm or 3 hours before bedtime
There are certain processes in the body that are associated with the circadian rhythm – the internal clock that controls body functions and responds to light and darkness. Some research suggests that nighttime eating may increase the risk of obesity, but this is more related to sleep disturbances than calorie intake.
7. You can eat whatever you want, if you plow in the gym the next day
People who tend to think so tend to exaggerate the expense and eat more than they should. Exercise helps increase calorie expenditure, but not as much as we think. So play sports for fun and eat in a balanced way, and the result will not be long in coming.
